Jacquelyn Meyer Design, Long Island, NY

Design thatbehaves like hardware.

A small studio building websites and product interfaces for companies that can tell the difference. Everything below shipped, and all of it is still running.

What weactually do.

Most engagements use three or four of these at once. If you only need one, we’re probably not the right shape for it.

  • Interface design

The screens people use every day. What goes where, what happens when they get it wrong, and what they see when there is nothing there yet.

    • Product screens
    • Data-heavy views
    • Signup and setup
    • Empty and error states
  • Design systems

One set of buttons, colours and type that your team reuses, so page twenty still matches page one.

    • Colour and type rules
    • Reusable components
    • Documentation
    • Figma that matches the code
  • Front-end engineering

We build the thing, not just draw it. You get working code and a site that is actually live.

    • React and Next.js
    • Works with a keyboard and a screen reader
    • Fast on a phone
    • Editable without us
  • Motion & interaction

Movement that helps you follow what just changed. Nothing that moves only because it can.

    • Scroll behaviour
    • Hover and click feedback
    • Loading and transitions
    • A still version for people who want one
  • Brand systems

The look, and the rules for using it: type, colour, and how the pieces go together.

    • Type choices
    • Colour palette
    • Art direction
    • How to use it
  • Performance

Making it fast. A slow site loses people before they read a word of it.

    • Smaller pages
    • Faster first paint
    • Image handling
    • Checked on real connections

How the work runs.

  1. Signal

    2 weeks

We go through what you already have and come back with the first thing worth fixing, and what fixing it costs. If the answer is not design, we say so.

  2. Frame

    2–3 weeks

Structure before styling. Rough layouts and a written plan, agreed with you before anything gets made to look nice.

  3. Build

    6–10 weeks

Design and code happen together, and you get a real link to look at every Friday. No month-long silences.

  4. Hand over

    1 week

You get the site, the code behind it, and a walkthrough with your team. Then we get out of the way.

This site exists three times.

The same site, built three ways. Same words, same projects, three different looks. It is the fastest way to show you what you are choosing between.

Pick one and the whole site changes with it.
